Deer hunting is stewpit. This one we had to hunt for almost a whole hour. Sheesh.

Dang it man. Good job B's. WB u r used to catching one so tracking one shouldn't be that big of a deal. Get them B's a 7mm/08 and if you have to go single shot get them a New England Firearms with the heavy barrel. Teach them to hit the high shoulder and no more tracking. My oldest son shot a funky 7 Sunday after Thanksgiving and dropped him DRT at 244 yards. His first and one heck of a shot. I have dropped two big does all over 150 yds and all DRT. Hornandy 140 grain Interbonds and hardly any recoil. Similar to a .243. Come on man, BassCat, Lowrance, and still tracking deer? Oh, and not sure of how things are over that way, but gun sales around here have been outrageous. Guess, .308 might be a better choice for ammo selection.

No no no. Not track him for an hour. I meant we had to sit in the stand for a whole hour. Popped him on a severe down hill slope quartering away at 50 yards high right lung exiting low left lung with a T/C encore with 7mm-08 Winchester supreme ballistic tips. He actually knocked the deer for a flip. With Gottabe, ya can't afford to let him shoot a repeater. Good way to break a rack on a 4wheeler or tear out a transmission trying to haul 10 and 12 deer per trip. Had to step him down to a single shot and only let him carry 3 rounds.
