I have a friend in Memphis that makes his own arrow heads and things like that. I have several in my aquarium at the store that he gave me. He fishes at Sardis all the time.

I'm no expert Neonmoon, but I try to nap twice a day. With that being said, there is probably a couple of "Geezers" on here that have way more experience at napping than I do. Check with G or Satdoc or Falconsmitty on the Bama board. I hear they are professional nappers.

Mr friends name is Robert Herring, and he's been fishing at Sardis a lot lately. I just called him, and he said he'd come down and find your bus the next time he's at the lake. He fishes from a camo SeaArk like "G"'s that I sold him new with a 90 Suzuki on it. You might have seen him on the lake. He is a geezer, so he's got lots of time. Lol

He does really nice work, but he told me his eyes are failing him so he doesn't flint knapp as much anymore. He did say that he'd be glad to show ya the ropes.

After thinking about it, I may have been confusing Animal Planet and Paleo Planet on TV shows, heck, they're both Planets Heard the same, but sure don't need any more weight to haul around.

"G" just left (as did Rees), but he didn't mention anything about it. I was hoping to find someone close for a couple lessons, enough to just get me started.

Slabo- "Just learning"? Those are beautiful pieces! Looks like he's a pretty quick learner if he's not been 'knapping long. See if he'd be willing to give a Yankee a couple basic lessons, I just need the "how to get started" push. I'm not in any hurry, and thought when I maxed-out my time at Sardis (in about another Month) I might even go up to Arkabutla and camp a while.

Yikess told me about your Blackened Crappie I need to look-up in the Cooking Board and try.

Rees- Hafting (lashing a piece to handle or shaft) is a whole nother art. I gotta learn to crawl before I can walk, but save them antlers
