Why yall get your hands wet getting minners?????I just put less water in the bucket and prop the net accross the top where the minners aint in no water when I get em, then just lower the net back into the water. Makes a big difference.

Hats, gentlemen. Hats. Keep your head warm, and everything else takes care of itself. I spent a few winters at Fort Carson Colorado. Combat soldier. Spent many a cold night out in the boonies. Mississippi boy had to learn some new tricks. Get a good hat. (I am talking about a really good hat. Spend about 50 or 60 dollars an a felt or canvas by Filson).

Good point. Going through SCUBA training, learned that 25% of heat loss was from the head. Get a good hat.

These make the cold more enjoyable:

FrabillŪ Knit Hat with Ear Flaps for Men | Bass Pro Shops

    FrabillŪ FXE

And also I agree with Rees on not grabbing minnows from a submerged net. Let them drain a second or two, and they are a lot easier to handle. A towel of some kind helps too. The wind is the worst enemy during winter, which a good rain suit helps with fighting the wind.

GDG I got one I was thinking of taking in the boat. How bad does a breeze bother it?

Somebody say hats? Lets see what Steve has to say about it.

I had a radar oreilly speshul one time that was gore-tex. Dang thing was too hot for deer hunting. Bet it' be the ticket for fishing.
