These trailers can handle this boat easily with a single axle. The reason I'm going with a Tandom is because I travel to tournaments, and a blowout is a pain to deal with on the road. Other than that, I'd be happy with a single axle on this rig. They sell 24'ers on a single axle, and the trailers handle them with no problem.

I don't know John. It's a lot less than the trailer can handle tho.

I know Xpress makes a good product, but I'm with you on this. There ain't no way I would wanna pull any boat with a 200 on it with a single axle trailer. That's just asking for trouble. If the boat was all you had on it, maybe. But you're probably gonna put a 101 on it and with three trolling batteries and a cranking battery and the all of your tourney gear, that will be a load. Do you run nitrogen in your trailer tires?

    Just air in the tires.

I've been pulling lots boats for quite awhile. If it weren't safe, I wouldn't pull em. They're single axle trailer can handle the weight of this rig easy. I know from experience. Being in the boat business has given me a fairly good education on the equipment and its capabilities.

Teberd, I aint trying to start nuttin but totally loaded that rig aint gonna hit 5000 pounds, no where near. If my research the rig before the motor wont be but 1600 pounds, motor may reach 700, 4 batts 400, gear just say 1000, thats only 3700 pounds and I bet this is way heavier than it will actually be. I agree, I like tandem axle trailers, have pulled both all over the southeast but for the most part it is for the braking, seems to work better on a tandem axle trailer.

Oh, I'm not trying to start nothing either. It's just I would imagine that if single axle trailers were the most optimal trailers, ranger, skeeter, triton, big o boats and other manufacturers would probably use them just for the cost factor. There is a reason they are used other than personal preferences. Braking, towing a big payload and looking sharp are all factors. It is strange tho that if you are not wanting to start anything, that you would argue and try to prove a point and then totally agree with me. But hey, every man for himself. I personally think a tandem axle would be better suited for this application. LoL.

You have to remember that Ranger, Triton, etc. are much heavier Glass boats. I do like a tandem trailer because of the road hazard, blowout reason I mentioned earlier. Its not necessary, but it's a convenience to have a tandem in that situation. They are quite a bit more money tho.
