Best day I had last year on Sardis--wind got up to 30 with gust up to 40 (was 10 when we got there). Took a week to not feel like i was in a boat but we caught a ton of fish.

The best way to learn how to fish the wind is to just go fish when you can. Never fails that the wind howls during a tournament, so you just gotta learn to deal with it. I fished Sardis last spring and the wind gusted up to 40. We caught fish right next to John Woods while pulling 4 drift socks. 2-56" and 2- 65" socks. Slowed us down to .4-.6. Had a blast. Lol

Rees Guide and I fished Nader one day before the MCC tourney in a 20mph wind. Caught almost a limit. We used chains that I bought that STOPPED the boat in that kinda wind. Had to set my Terrova on 6 just to move forward.
