Over the years I have noticed that "Crappie Jigs" tend to have a small hook. Even have heard the statement that a jig maker made, "Tied some with bigger hooks for the Big Four". I really dont understand it at all, caught a couple yesterday that were around 6 inches long and they had no prob inhaling a 1/0 hook. Are the crappie really that small in other places that you need a small hook??
