Make some suggestions and put it to a vote G.
No vote.....the FJ committee selects the site and the dates......thats the way it has always been. Also the FJ committee has been selling t shirts to make money to pay for pavilion rental. I thi.k it has been working well. Been having grat turn outs..... You cant please everybody but I think they have been doing quite well. They are looking at and discussing dates.....give them time to work it out. Spring camp is 6 months out anyway so there is plenty of time.

I'm not worried about the dates, just want everyone to have a good time without a whole lot of runnin' round. The way these parks are laid out Sardis and Enid have the best accomodations at one location. Grenada has campgrounds behind the dam and a couple other locations, but the cabins are a long drive away, I know their are a few campsites near the cabins but not many and it is very uneven ground. Besides if the lake is low you will have to drive all the way out of the park and half way around grenada county to launch your rig. Barnett does not have any cabins to really speak of so non-campers would be forced to drive to Jacktown to get a room, this may be okay for some but i work hard for my stuff, and i want to keep it. Besides, who wants to go to camp and stay in a hotel? Washington could be an option but i think we would all get kinda spread out between roy's on the north and south ends, southern star, and cordells. I don't know of anything on the waterway that offers anything more than just campsites. Pickwick could be an option J.P. Coleman has cabins, a small 16 room hotel, and campsites. It would be a long drive for our southernmost members but it is the prettiest lake in the state. I guess what i am saying is i prefer Enid, Sardis, and Pickwick, in that order. This is just my opinion based on what i have seen at these locations while visiting them. Any other ideas, suggestions?

Yeh....my suggestion is the State Park at Enid......Then you can fish three lakes easily if you want to. The campground is good and so are the cabins.

Past camps they always camped at the state park. The state park has some great hosts and rangers and they are friends with us.
