Here are a couple of pictures of my minnow tank. 100 gal Rubbermaid stock tank, PVC drain valve installed with Garden hose conector installed on that. 2 large aquarium filter pumps installed and 2 aquarium air pumps running on large stones. took peice of pressure treated plywood cut it to fit between sides at one end. Installed it to the ribs with a couple of galvinized screws. got one pump discharge toward short end and one to long end of tank. creates a flow through the tank. tap water treated with aquarium addative and aquarium salt.
Aquarium stuff was all free and so was tank had to buy PVC valve and fittings. Ask aroiund and people will have pumps and filters laying around.

Thanks, CRAY. That looks like a good set up, one like I need. I'll have to get in gear and develop something before next spring. Minnows at bait shops have gone out of sight. We have a minnow farm not far from my house . Now I need a good tank.
Man, that's tight right there.

Nice setup Cray. If you have a small fridge you can coil up a copper water line and let it lay in the fridge with small amount of water going thru it and then come out of the fridge and let that run into tank. Just a suggestion. One of those small dorm room fridges would be great.

GDG ihad thought about that. Got one got 2 in garage and could move one down to shop and also thought about trying to find a old drinking fountain and tying into the cooling coil on that. Hook a coie pond pump up to circulate the water through it and put inline thermostat into tank to control temp. Hard wire around original thermostat. Think I might have to put a restricter in dish charge line to get adequate cooling though. Thanks for the suggestion.
