Thread: Well being the "new guy" in the bank of course I get alot of the

chores that others dont really wanna do, and today had to go out and do some PR work (smoozing) at a local ribbon cutting for a new Steel company that is opening down at Yellow Creek port. Well got down there and all the local dignitaries were there and notice that right in the front door of the building an area was roped off with yellow police tape. Didnt think that much about it and so I was standing there talking to the owner of the bank and up wheels this sharp Ford 4 door 4x4 F150 wheeling in this spot, all 4 doors swing open and out steps Stacy Pickering and Phil Bryant and I guess what was "security detail" bailed out also. well they came right in and stopped and talked and shook hands with me and the bank owner and were very pleasant. I aint takin political sides or nothing but I was impressed at the fact that the Gov didnt roll up in a big long limo but arrived in a truck, so he cant be all bad LOL. Got back to work and was telling my secretary and her husband about it and her husband is a MS Hwy Patrol officer and he said he hadnt heard anything about the Gov being up here. He said in previous years with other Gov's that they would have to meet him at the airport in Corinth and the 3 Hwy Patrol officer in their cars would have to escort him and his bunch to where ever they were going and be with him while he was out and about. I must say that the fact that all that tax payer money was saved by the Gov not having all that made me think more of him at this point. Long but true story and nice to know some still keep it down to earth
