    Default ? for ScottV

I propose this question to you Scott cause you catch the most fish around here. This past winter I switched all my line from Vicious 10# Hi-Viz to 30# =8 power pro. I have noticed a decrease in my catch . I was thinkin a flouro leader for cranks and riggin . What do you suggest and what kind and pound test? Is there an invisible line to be equal in strenght to the power pro 30 8?

Fluorocarbon is the clearest line. That's what I put on the crankbait pushing weights. I've been using 12# on the pushing weight rigs but when pulling cranks, I use braid all the way to the bait. I normally use 15# mono on pre-tied minnow or jig rigs. It's a little stiffer and I don't get my upper line tangled as much. If you're fishing clearer water than me the fluorocarbon leader may be your answer when pulling cranks but it's not gonna be as strong as the braid if you get hung, unless you use 30# line.

I don't know about catching the most fish though. I just brag the most. Lol

That's probably good as any. I think I got some Berkley Vanish at Wal Mart.

Excuse me, I would have responded earlier, but I got physically ill upon reading the original post.

IF and I mean IF Scott catches fish, it's Steve's fault. He's the brains if that outfit. Scott is just the boat driver and fashion consultant.
