Your Jerkin too hard. When your trollin the hook sets automatically just lift the rod out of holder with a forward motion.

There is a learning curve after years of just pulling the rope.

Barbie I got an older model Powerdrive that is a major pain in the butt to deploy and stow, If you would like to borrow it you are more than welcome. After a workout with it a couple of time that Terrova will be a breeze.
