Now there's a novel idea for fall camp...Friday night "liars club" followed by "UFC @ the boat ramp".

Reminds me of 2 years ago, my brother-in-law & I went down in the New Johnsonville Tenn area fishing Ky. lake. (Thats where he is from) We were out in a area called Duck River game reserve fishing standing Cypress trees because the big water was too rough that day. We saw this young man and woman out in a johnboat all afternoon back in these thick trees. When we went to take our boat out, we saw these 2 other women at the ramp pacing the bank and cussing low down. Literally screaming at those two in the Johnboat. We didn't know what the heck was going on but were literally caught in the middle of it all. Us there trailoring our boat, the 2 lover/cheaters in the johnboat and the 2 screamers. Turns out it was the wife & the mans mother on the bank & him out in the johnboat with his lover. He finally came ashore was trying to calm them down & the wife was trying to whip the girlfriend. We just tried to get the boat on the trailer as fast as possible, keeping our heads down & get the heck out of there, You never know with so much raw emotion when a gun could come out. We laughed our a$$ off after we were on our way. But it was really sad for the wife/mother. Don't want to ever see/hear another boat ramp love affair.

Boat ramps that are busy are very entertaining to say the least.

If a thread should be in the main board, I won't open it. Mods should move them to the right location.
If not sure of the title, and it should be in the main board after opening, I'll close it.
Will be a bunch of unread stuff here posted in the wrong place.

Sorry, but I am Mississippi born and I have lived here my entire life except for 4 years in the service back in the 60s. Most of my adulthood I have tried to break the stereotype of a Mississippi resident. Why contribute to it, it does more harm than good, and continues to make us look like dumb rednecks, which we aren't. I made comment on the man's post about newbies, of which I was one. What I have noticed is that threads on this forum often get hijacked by a few posters that tend to dominate the conversation and delight in belittling others. As far as abbreviating, I see your point, but consider this, the following take just many keystrokes as the correct spelling; feller (fellow), minners (minnows), greazy (greasy), thang (thing), dranking (drinking), messican (mexican), gewber (goober), fer (for), feshes (fishes), 7 hunnert (7 hundred), feelay (filet), and finally my favorite, boofay (buffet). I suspect some think it's cute, just like your teeth comment. I'm sure this post won't win me any friends, but it's just how I feel, and I could not let it pass without responding. Have a great day but leave a few for seed.
