    Default Bearing grease

When packing boat trailer bearings do you use waterproof grease or just regular wheel bearing grease?

Send Torch a PM. He knows the best kind to use. I forgot what it's called but them boys down in the delta use it for their farm equipment.

no all grease is no waterproof. red hi-temp panther grease from panther industries. i used it in everything from cotton pickers to combines on the farm and my boat trailers for 30 to 40 years. i'll run 6 or more years without even checking my bearings. if you have a seal go out the water will not touch the grease or bearings. tractor supply sells a green water proof grease. i don't know if it's as good as the red panther. check with farmers if they got some they may sell you a tube. it comes in case lots and is very high.

I use a good grade of lithium based trailer grease that is rated for marine use. Its 9 bucks a tube at the boat dealer but you can get it with the same specs at WalMart for 3 bucks a tube. Been useing the WalMart product for years now with good results. I also use it on my tractor and my lawnmower.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
