I've changed rear bearings several years ago in a Monte Carlo and that was real easy. Scared to these days

That's a lot of bucks but it could have been lots worse.

The bearings on the newer vehicles are sealed and non serviceable. You have to change out the entire assembly.

I checked online and from wheel bearing warehouse, just the part is 190. I'm sure they'll be around 150 for labor so it's not a bad price

He's is giving you a fair deal for sure, if you have the tools its not hard at all. Heap rather do that and have to pull the distribtor and replace a pick-up coil like I had to do Saturday on our Z, bout killed me but it runs better than it has in a long time.

Same exact thing here Wannabe, 114,000 miles on my Yota and one set of U joints and thats it. One gut told me about 6 months ago he thought it was tranny vibrating I almost cried. Got a second opinion from a different mechanic and he told to bring it in the next morning and he drove it down the road about half a mile and said u joints, it will cost ya about 150 bucks. Whewww needless to say he gets all my business now.
