    I got HB 598di , is there a way to recalibrate the depth ? it is on the tm and the depth is about a foot difference than my 798disi on back of the boat .

    It is but I cant remember how. If someone dont come up with the answer I will look in my book in the morning for ya, its in the boat and I plan to join it about 6 in the morning.

    598 ?? Thought the 597 was the highest for the 5's? And yes you can recalibrate use the depth offset feature--it the "598" if lower the raise the offset that amount or the other way if higher. Also I think say if your chart is showing water where there is actually ground you can make and adjustment that will calibrate the unit as well. It's somewhere in the manual.     Last time I checked they still hadn't 'fixed' depth off set. It will show the correct depth, but everything else is incorrect. As an example, u have the depth offset set to 1 ft and the water is 10 ft deep, it will show that but if u c a fish at 5 ft it's actually 6 ft deep. It's too confusing for me to use.
