    I'm trying Maj. I'm a fighter...I got that from him. This last year has just brought on a whirlwind of changes. He left some pretty big shoes to fill.

    I know you think about him every day, cause I do the same thing with mine (Dad and Stepdad). People say it gets easier, but it doesn't, because love doesn't die when they leave us. I can't hardly talk about my dads without becoming emotional, but that's okay, it just shows how much of an impact they both had on me and I'd bet yours did the same for you.

    I've still got my dad but lost my mom several years back, you are so correct about things never being the same. It's strange how it's the little insignificant things that can bring back a flood of memories!

    Lost mine this month 8 years ago. Tough ever day, but he taught me how to fish. Great times and good memories. I miss him and think about what he would be telling me to do every trip. Keep your chin up and enjoy the memories of the good times.
