I was in my apartment getting ready for work-had the TV on but not the news. I changed channels for some reason and what I was looking at I thought it was a movie or something. I hadn't known my wife long at this time (would get married the following year) but I called her and asked if she had seen this and if it was real--she said yes it is real. Not long after I saw the second plane flown into the building. It was just unreal and hard to comprehend. Very sad day.

I was going by the depot in Laurel on a freight train when my wife called and told me about it. I got out my FM radio and headphones and listened to the news all the way to New Orleans.

I was almost asleep when my wife woke me by turning the tv on in the bedroom. I stayed up til about noon watching it over and over. That night at work, there was a star close to the moon. We had a weird feeling.
