Thread: 2013 FJ Series Rules

I'm not speaking for all of the director's...but this is my opinion on the pole limit. Every organization I have ever fished with...crappie or green carp has a limit on the number of poles. I missed the thread that was deleted that originally started this argument. However, as stated before....these are for fun and fellowship, but there must be rules and structure. Everyone is set up to fish different numbers of poles...some 10, some 8, and some only 6. There again is no way to accommodate and please everyone, but having a structured limit on the poles helps even the playing field for everyone. I'm sorry if some of you don't agree. All of the bickering and fussing is not going to get anything accomplished. As with any club, whether fishing or hunting...or anything else for that matter...you will have some members that are tried and true and have the best intentions for the club and will be there no matter what. Then you will have the ones that cannot be pleased and will move on to other things, and new people will always join. The fj's will continue and hopefully grow, but in order to do that there has to be structure. If you don't like the rules, there are several other groups out there to fish with, but good luck finding one that doesn't have any rules. Sorry if I stepped on any ones toes, but all this griping over a rule is ridiculous.

The thread that was deleted was deleted at my request as the Original Posted. I very simply and very civil asked a question that was ignorred and only responded to by 2 folks that dont even have any connection to the FJs. I too hope they grow but I also feel that thread with a question in the FJ forum, where this stuff belongs, gets 200 views but no answer to the question. As far as I know there was no arguement in that thread, very little discussion for that matter. Thread was started at 7pm Saturday night and was at the top of the FJ forum 36 hours, I felt that was long enuff for a response and had it deleted. No worries, life goes on.

Rules are fine and they need to be enforced.But I think Slimey just wanted to know why the rules were changed.That is not alot to ask,yall could have said it was to protect the fish or because we are the bosses and we say so.Dont really matter.Spider you are correct members will come and go but that is a piss poor way to look at it.A simple answer and all this could have been avoided.Growup

4 poles per person is OK by me. Let the games begin! I still think the state laws should prevail, but hey, what do they know!!!. I still think that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. JMHO
