Yes it is, Sea Ray ... you just click on the person's screen name, in any of their posts, and go to their profile page ... the "ignore" option is in the top left hand box, right under the PM link.
There's only one small problem with the option, though ... because while you won't see what the ignored person posts, you WILL SEE it in another members post if they use the "Reply with Quote" option. The reason being that the "ignore" option is limited to whomever is being ignored, and not the person using that quoted message in their reply.
And yes ... you can only push so many of Ed's buttons, before he will react with a temp or permanent ban. He don't like to have to do it, but he WILL if it means keeping the site's integrity safe. Just because this is a Off Topic forum, it doesn't mean that the site rules are invalid.

And "G" is slightly mistaken in his statement that this is a "public" forum. It's not, actually. The general public CAN read what is said, but they have to be a member to join in on the discussions. It's more of a "club", exclusive to members, but free to join. And as a club, it has rules & people tasked with enforcing those rules (Mods/SuperMods/Admin), and consequences for breaking them. We don't need a vigilante poll to tell us who needs to be banned ... Ed has that exclusive right, as owner & administrator of the site.
I've heard a lot of compliments on how the Mods/Admin keep the site civil ... but have NEVER heard anyone compliment us on allowing things to run amok. The site is only as good as the members make it. Follow the unwritten rule of "agree to disagree, with civility" AND the written rules ... and help make this site the best it can be.
