Did a little smokin yesterday before the storms rolled in. Cooked 6 slabs of Baby Backs and some chicken.Coated that meat the night before with my "Gonna have to kill you rub".Smoked it over about 225 to 250 degrees.Turned out pretty good. Had corn on the cob, mac salad, potato salad with it,and a cold Spudweiser!!!Homemade Lemon Pound Cake and icy cold watermelon later.A long time later!!!My son and I got it done before the rain got there. Here's a few pics!

I use this old Brinkman for smokin only. She has never had a fire put in the main body of the grill. I have another barrel type grill that I use for steaks, burgers, brats, etc I've got a upright Brinkman that smokes a mean Turkey or Chickens. Has a pan for you to add your favorite smoking beverage to keep things moist!I cook with wood mainly only use charcoal to keep my wood going!I don't even know how to use a gas grill. Would have to get one of you non goobers to show me!!My dad and uncle taught me what I know about grilling. I ain't no expert!Prolly be 2 more days before I get that smoke smell out of my sinus!I've been thinkin I might check ot one of them Big Green Eggs!Show would like to grill me some Red Snapper or Tuna sometime!

DonDon can tell you all about the Green Egg. He knows how to cook with it for sure, I have been over to his place for a cook out and he's darn good at it.

Sure sounds like you know what you are doing, I've always been curious about them green eggs also. Some snapper and tuna are great on the grill. Most of my experience has been on gas grills and this 'Lectric smokeri know the smoking purist look down their noses at them but you don't have to sit and tend it all day or nite and you don't end up smelling like a chimney sweep. The end result is the same, mighty good food!

Looks real good man. Spend the money n get an Egg. Itll get up to 700-800 degrees easy n for long cooks you fill it one time with lump charcoal n wood chunks n you can.go to bed. No more getting up every hour n adding more charcoal. I have a brinkman n love it but itll tire you out with all the getting up at night

Here is the deal for your cheekn'sIt's an oil-less turkey fryer. You just inject them, and rub 'em down, it uses radiant heat to cook them all around to a golden brown. No mess, no oil, and very healthy also.t
