    Default New to spider rigging

I am new to spider rigging and want to get some feedback on what type/brand of rods to get. I dont want to spend a lot of money at first until I make sure I am going to continue with it. Any help is appreciated.

What about the Hi Tech rods? I heard they were a nice rod for the money.

Everyone has an opinion about this, mine is to always buy the best equipment you can easily afford. That being said it is hard to beat the B&M pro staff trolling poles, very good quality, a popular brand that everyone is accustomed, and will have a good resale value if you decide you do not care for spider rigging.

I understand exactly what you are saying Feesh but they are fairly pricey for a newbie.

Them pinnacle rods are some good starter rods and 4 12ft rods that work for 60 bucks ain't bad. If you really like Spider riggin then you will know better what you want in a pole and still have what I call loner poles for when you take someone else. I fish PST's but have a set of the pinnacles in the boat also and when they bitting real light I'd rather fish them. I also would look at those HT green lable jig poles in graphite/glass for around 18.00 for 3 at grizzly jig. They look like they might be a pretty good starter pole.

Go with the pinnacles, for a hundred bucks you can be fishing.Besides very few rods are made in America anyway.
