Should give everyone a discount, since our tax dollars bailed em out.

I too believe that they should have been allowed to go bankrupt and then reorganize like any other business but that didn't happen. We still have local GM Dealerships that employ lots of local folks to help keep those dealerships in business.

That's another reason I bought another Chevrolet. My brother is the body shop manager and his wife is the controller/office manager for Mike Freeman Chevrolet in Fayette, AL.

The UAW took a pay cut and payed back the bail out. GM, Ford and Chrysler all did it. Chrysler sent they're assembly plant to Mexico tho.

My undestanding is that gm paid the money back but no interest . Not a gm hater though . Many us jobs were saved . I personally get more miles from a 150 ford , but many others find just the opposite .

And the UAW took a cut? Laughable. They may have in fact took a wage concession, but the whole reason GM illegally avoided bankruptcy was so the O administration could hose the bond holders and shore up the UAW pension.

Don't question me, I know this stuff because I'm an owner of GM.

That's not true Gator!!! That is the spin GM is putting on it. The STOCK holders were paid .10 on the dollar for what they were owed!! In a bankruptcy, the bond holders (folks who have their retirements and life savings invested) would have been compensated FIRST!!!! Instead, the administration decided to fire the CEO (which they had no authority to do) and give the stimulus money to the UAW instead. In return, the UAW contributes millions to the administration in campaign donations!!! It's nothing more than a money laundering scheme. If GM has repaid their debt, why have so many investors lost millions????
