I ain't no expert but if you were getting a true 60 plus out of that boat the way it was set I wouldn't mess with it. 1 1/2 is an awful lot unless you going to install a racing type prop and better put a water pressure gauge on if you don't already have one.
I agree Cray, would not make that much adjustment at the house. I adjust mine at the ramp, 1/4 or 1/2 at a time. His boat runs well. Mike be ready for a ride cause with it high ifn it breaks loose at top speed it is gonna be one heck of a ride and hopefully will stay uprite, not telling you what I think I know either, ask Goodtime about Sardis last year. You just thought running a ground shook you up.

Only reason for raising it is due to the fact it steps out at high speed.
This is due to the fact that the centerline of the bullet is 5 inches below the pad - that's way too low

What do you mean "steps out"??? If you are talking gets loose or blows out like revving up than you are going in the wrong direction. Keep in mind that when you trim up you are pushing down and the bottom of the boat is going to devert water some. Its a fine line.
Also, let your motor down and put a floor jack under the skeg with a board between and jack up till you get SOME RESISTANCE, this should take some pressure off and make adjusting easier. Motor needs to be parrelel with the jack plate, may have to lowere the front of the boat with the jack to trim it down that far.
