Ya'll know that I am new to the community, but not new to crappie fishing. I was raised on Grenada and Enid back in the 60's and 70's. If anything, I believe there are more and better fish coming out of both lakes now than there ever has been. In fact, I think there are plenty to go around. More importantly, that secret spot of "yours" on that COE lake is not really "yours." It is a public lake. If you pull up and find someone in "your" hole, go find yourself another one. There are more. Fishing is supposed to be fun. Fishing is supposed to be about fellowship. Fishermen are supposed to be the helpfull, sharing, considerate men that I am sure all of you were raised to be. If you want to keep secrets, by all means, that is your right. But if someone else wants to share their knowledge that is also their right, and nobody has the right to stop someone from being generous. Remember....... Its not really "your" lake they are sharing information about.

With that said, I think fishing reports and pics are a great way to help the fishing community. I dont think swarms of yankees CAN fish these COE lakes into extinction. Yanks have been trying to catch em all out of Reelfoot for about 200 years, and there are still plenty to go around!

Wow..... <Steps down out of pulpit> That was more than I intended to say.

.Maybe i'm wrong, but I have been fishing Sardis and Butla all life and never seen this much pressure on the lakes. What most people don't realize, when lakeview shut down Butla's pressure almost doubled.Regardless what any body says low water and pressure will have a negative impact for the future.Just my opinion. Thanks everybody for your thoughts.

I agree with you. I think if you must fish a distressed lake, please practice catch and release. We all have more fish than we'll ever eat!!! JMO, no harm or judgement meant against anyone!!!! If ya do need em, eat em!!!!'. For me, the fun is figuring em out, and catchin em.

Y'all about done ticked me off. I've decided none of you are worthy of being crappie fishermen. Therefore I am going to personally catch out all of the COE lakes to teach y'all a lesson. Then you will all have something to whine about justifiably.

Only thing is you still got to find them. That is not the easiest thing to do. But if you can then go get them.

Ok you ask for an opinion and here it goes. How does posting a pic on this site about where and when I catch a fish impact a lake any more than a guide who takes 150 , 2 person partys out per year and catches their limit and his also{think that adds up to 60 fish per trip}. Not knocking anyone who guides cause everyone gotta make a living, but if I post a pic of a days catch and it causes 20 people to fish that lake the next day it still dont add up to the pressure of guiding. Again its JMO and you asked for it. NO one jumps on the guides for taking fish outta these lakes and Im not jumping on them either its just an opinion but I dont think the pic posting is the problem. The problem is when someone post a pic of fish they caught you have people setting around that cant go fishing or dint catch any the last time they went out and they get p d off. YOu wanted a debate and an opinion well thats mine, sorry if ya dont like it.
