I think the hot heat has not only slowed down my fishin' to some extent, but has also affected my way of thinking too.
I've noticed dehydration also affects the way fishermen think, or sometimes don't think. I tried to go fishin' the other
day and got to the truck and looked around and wondered/forgot what I was doin' at the truck door. Yep, it was really
to hot for me to get out and try to fish, much less remember what I was outside for. Been down once due to heat frustration
and now it don't take as much as it used to to affect my system. If you ain't never laid down in a bathtub full of ice cubes,
then you ain't been overheated yet. A few years later I forgot how old I was and took a trip and did a lot of driving without
doing any stopping and walkin' around and get the circulation going good........had a mini stroke when I got home and lucky
it didn't do more damage than it did. Now, I try to remember I can't go as long and strong as I used too. Caution is key to
folks of any age. Ain't never met a man yet that could sling his clothes off and reveal a big "S" on his chest, even if he really
thought he was Superman. Gotta stay grounded and live in reality to stay alive and healthy. My wife just wishes I'd take my
own advice more seriously, but sometimes I have difficulty doing that too. The older I get, the more vicious the circle gets. LOL
If this gets moved to another thread, I'll understand. It's that vicious circle syndrome thingy.
