Took an old rim no longer usable an welded a 1/4" rod n the middle to tie onto while lowering. Covered the center hole. Stuck cane in the lug holes and goin to fell it with concrete. Looks like it shud set upright ok. Any thoughts?

Yep, I saw a donkey flying...

By the way, a 40# bag of quickcrete is perfect.. It's heavy and will sit upright good too..

Update... On the second one I left off the plate that covered the hub hole and piled a little dirt under it and that allowed me to shove some cane in the center hole as well. I think that worked even better..
