    Great idea, and I would think you wouldn't need that much concrete ? But I could be wrong.

    Reason I used concrete, $2.50, is I cud not rig a good way to keep the cane attached. Another tip, if u want to make one and put it oun the same day..... Mix a cup of plaster of Paris in the 40# bag of concrete.. Better have the sticks ready cause it'll set up in 15-20 min hard as a twice baked brick..

    Drill some holes in the boo and wire them to the rim. Maybe some cotter keys.

    Believe me. He needs the concrete in the rez. Too much current during high water can re-locate condos or even wash them over.

    Concrete is a must,everything is lighter in water.Plus the cane has a lot of air pockets,it wants to float anyway.
