Well upon nearin Batesville I realize I don't know where engineers point is. So I text WB. Hey, where is this place at? I ain't never been here.
One mile marker goes by
Two mile markers go by
Three mile markers go by
Then the south Sardis dam exit goes by
Finally the gewber text me back after the next three mile markers go by.
It's on the south end of the dam.
Gee thanks. Well I'll jus take the scenic route. Plus you prolly a few minutes behind me.
Yea, I jus passed the hwy 7 exit.
Well I get there and Feelay is prepping the barge. Got two of his tall kids with him doin all the werk as he's propped up on the rub rail of the barge sippin on a diet coke. ( this is one honkin big boat. I can barely see Feelay standin behind the boat). Well I get out and we recount all the memories of his little boat and his mishaps at Columbus and he says where's WB?
He's about 40 minutes behind me. And sure nuff, he calls 38 minutes after I get there and says I'm 2 minutes out.
Sure enough, 4 minutes later here he comes.

Engineer, where we were, is at Sardis.
Carl's Guide Service

Grenada Lake

So WB finally arrived after he got the kids dropped off and IS pacified. And we launch the barge with no hiccups. We run up the lake a good ways to where Capt Feelay decides we will try it. Course the first thing WB does is grab a towel and start cleaning. (Y'all saw the pichur). well after me and Feelay show him how to unwind the rods, we out em out. Course as luck would have it, the fesh knew WB was in the boat and were not cooperating. We finally got WB down off the front deck and kinda hid behind the mammoth center console so the fesh couldn't see him. Bam, we started catchin em. Nothin real big, but it was a start.
We pulled for another hour or so and with only a couple of keepers in the boat but bunches of shorts. Then we go to noticing a small cloud building back towards the east. WB, grabs his phone and supposedly checks the weather. No problem he says. It's gonna miss us. So we continue to fesh. As the cloud cover increased, so did the fesh size. We managed 5 more keepers, with one being a decent fish. Then it happened.
