    Its a small world. I was there in 71 also. I can't remember for sure but VP-9 was either the last or second to the last VP squadron attached to FAW-6 before we were decomissioned. I hated living in Japan.

    Bill thats where I was when I got discharged got a early Christmas out and no scheduled flights available......got my discharge orders and basically hitch hiked back to the states lol got processed out at Treasure Island Cal. And got home T 6:00am "Christmas Eve morning.

    Was in Iwakuni in 68 they had had some nice guns in the nex.Boubht a rem 600 in .308 for $90 was selling for over $300 stateside.Still have it.

    I bought some guns and fishing rods at the nex when I was at Adak, Alaska. Still have them also.
