I think it's great that everyone is getting together to do this, I'd like to come but busy with house renovations for a baby on the way I've done 3 of the COE habitat days in the last 4 years (including Butla this past January) and it's always a good time. I think if you fish the COE lakes regularly you should think seriously about participating in at least one of the habitat days, you'll meet some nice people and probably learn a little bit about the lake too. Oh yeah, and you'll probably get a sore back and maybe a stuck 4 wheeler to boot, but you will have the satisfaction of knowing you did something to help your lake. I didn't build every stake bed I ever pulled a crappie out of, but I fish em all with a clear conscience because I know I've built hundreds in my lifetime that others have gotten to enjoy

Also, I think it should be MANDATORY for anyone that guides on the COE lakes to participate in the habitat day for each lake they guide on each year....now talk amongst yourselves
It's all over but the fryin'......
