    Seen several of the adjustable types get accidently adjusted smaller to the demise of several rod tips.

    PVC drain/sewer pipe is cheaper than regular pvc, yet plenty crushproof.

    I like one or two rods per tube, get more than that and it gets messy and time consuming trying to match tips and butts up (I usually color dot mine to keep each set together).

    I have a fly-fishing buddy, who paints his pvc tubes to look like brown and rainbow trout skins, so you can decorate them up.
