Buy a couple of tents and learn to like it. Been doing it with this city girl since '71. Camping with her family and mine since '68.

Promise Land Resort & RV Sites on Bull Shoals Lake. Stayed there numerous times over the years. Cabins with kitchens, boat ramp, covered dock, fish cleaning station, game room, outdoor grilling area, pool. The hosts are great people. Cabins are clean and everything is well taken care of.

I stayed at Chit Chat Chaw Resort on Promise Land Rd. It's a good place. Ramp, covered dock, small pool, playground, etc. I like it, and it's quiet and piece full. Great walleye fishin, but the crappie are just so so. Heard better crappie fishing at Greers and Norfolk.

I would do Bull Shoals. My family has its reunion there the last several summers in a row. Try Gaston's Resort. Not really on the lakle, though. Each cabin does face right onto the white river about 1 mile below the dam. You can wear the trout out right out the back door. Nice restuarant, bait shop, and river trout rigs for rent for a very reasonable price. Also guides if you have never trout fished before, though you could figure it out on your own. I love the place. It is only about two or three miles from the Bull Shoals Marinan and the Lakeview Marina. So getting you boat into the lake would be very easy. Of course, you are only about 1 hour south of Branson, so if you wanted and evening of entertainmnet........
