Went over to Caddo lake last year feshing with my family, Tam, Ree, Lady, and Snugs. Mr Goodtime was kinda our guide as he had been to Caddo on many occasions before. When we get there it is kinda a swampy place with moss hanging from the cypress trees and bayous coming off the lake. Lake was very shallow as well, boat roads are a must due to the shallow water and stump fields. First thing we had to do is go on a tour of the lake so we head out. Goodtime is leading the way in his boat and when we would pull up to something interesting we would stop and talk about it. Ifn you aint ever road around in your boat in a swamp it is a hole nuther world from what I am used to.

Goodtime leads us to the River and then off down another bayou, he points ahead and hollars, "there's sumpin up here yall got to see!!" Coarse with Goodtime this could mean almost anything. Goodtime drops off plane as do we and we coast into a cut and low and behold there is a cabin up high in some cypress trees. He explains that this was at one time the hide-away for "The Village People". I says, "man is u crazy" and he says "NAW, it's the truth!!" Ree turns to me and rolls her eyes, "Is he for real?" Then he says, "heres the kicker, the only reason they left this hangout is cause Big Feets done run em off!!" At this time Ree is really rolling her eyes, "I know he didn't!" she says. To be honest I aint ever known Goodtime to lead me astray but I was doubting him some kinda serious this time. He went on to explain that on the night they made their exit, running for their lives, so to speak, that ran slam over an ole fellar accross the bayou at Johnson's Ranch. That ole fellar has been telling this story for years he said. He went on to explain to us that the owner of the cabin in the cypress had cut a deal with Waffle House and was supposed to open a Waffle House on the bayou but tha the Big Feet sightings were just more than the prospective buyer could handle so the deal fell through. What a way to start off a week of feshing!!!!

The feshing started slow cause the wind had us whooped, could get to where Goodtime said we needed to be (coarse we was kinda doubted him by now anyways). Bout Tuesday the wind lays and we head for an island that he likes to fesh. we are in search of Gills and hoping to find em bedded up somewhere's. Sure nuff they was in the area he said they would be in and we fished up on some crickets!!! Not really sure how many we caught but you will see from the pics that it was a good many. Goodtime left Wednesday afternoon heading home and we stayed on thru Sunday. Decided to get out and ride a little bit in the truck and check out the sites and low and behold. Over by Johnsons Ranch we saw him big a day, BIG FEETS!!!!! Ole Goodtime was rite again. What an awesome trip it was, thanks again for the guided tours Goodtime, hopefully the Mrs can can with us next time.
