It got so hot one summer down in southeast Arkansas when I was a kid.... We had raised popcorn that year, the mules got in it and the corn started popping and the mules thought it was snowing and froze to death. Since we thought they were dead, we skinned them and sold the hides so it wouldn't be a total loss. After a while they thawed out and came back to the house. Well, we were about to saluter a couple sheep, so we took their hides and pinned them to the mules with blackberry vines. That fall we got 200 pounds of wool and canned 2 dozen quarts of blackberry jelly ofn those mules...
