    Default Stabilized rod holder

For sometime now I've been trying to figure out how to build a rod holder for spider rigging that would absorb the "bounce" of the rods on a windy day. Why did the solution have to wake me at 2:30 am the morning of my 50th birthday? So while the entire family is sleeping my stupid self is sitting in the boat, in my boxers, a tape measure and a stick of aluminum. So now I'm wondering, is a crappie addiction something to seek professional help for or is it normal to watch the sun come up, while siting in your boat, in your underwear, miles from the nearest water!

Just sitting in the boat in my draws wasn't so bad, it was when I turned on that aluminum welder that I should've seen the errors of my ways! Loose fitting or not, you just can't get cotton drawers off fast enuff that are smoldering in slow burn mode! And of course now that your naked in the shop with your parents, kids, grandkids and inlaws in the house, there is NOWAY the wife will answer her phone! Thank god for the rainsuit in the boat!!
