You exactly right, dont follow the crowd! You might catch a quantity of fish fishing where everybody else is, but most of the time, you can find some fish away from everybody and wear em out, and if you can learn to keep your mouth shut you can stay on em for a lil while!

the problem aint out of staters or the coe the problem is locals i have said this before most folks are lazy these are are lakes and you have to put something back into them you have got to build structure for these fish these lakes do not have none so it is are job to build it if their are half as many folks building structure for these fish as there are fishing for them then we would have a ton of stuff out their but very few folks do it cause most folks are lazy or dont have time i bet you found time to fish i build stake beds every year i got stake bed that are 7 ft deep right now with the lake at 208.2 a crappie wont spawn on mud so you have got to give them something to spawn on if you a troller or a single pole fisherman it is are job to build this stuff. i usually just sit and read yalls post and very seldom say anything until i cant stand it no more i got a pretty good idea of who fishes what lake so for the guys that fish arkabutla i expect to see everyone of you down their at the next fish habitat day

This is my take on the matter. The problem i think is happening, there are too many small fish and not enough bait fish to go around.I have fished Saris and butla all my life and have never seen Sardis this way.And I don't think it will get any better unless the small fish are thinned down.Still don't know what was wrong with the 10'' rule, back then there was plenty of big fish. And Butla is drying up.
