    Default Computer Question....HELP

I recently changes Internet companies and have had no problem what so ever getting on crappie.com until now. This is really weird. I know it has got to be something with the router or box itself that is blocking c.c. The reason I know that is because if I disconnect from my router and connect to my Verizon card that I use for travel I can pull it up using the same laptop. Then when I try to go back and use my connection here in the house it won't work. It will open any other web-site - facebook, yahoo, etc. Just not c.c. I simply get a message that says "Internet Explorer cannot open this web page". Any suggestions on why it might be blocking c.c? It was working fine until Friday night. I've cleared all my cache. Reset my internet options back to default -nothing helps except changing the source of my internet connection!!

I did "G". Tried that still won't work. The only way I can pull it up is to completely change my internet access. I have 3 computers and none of them will pull it up unless I change over from my permanent internet connection to my Verizon wireless card.

It may be that your new provider gave you an IP address that is "blacklisted" on my server's firewall. This can happen for various reasons like if someone tried to log into my servers admin area and failed 5 times, then they get blacklisted. Maybe someone that used the IP addy before you got it did so. I pm'ed you for your IP address, let me know via PM what it is and I can check on it. Sorry for the probs, we want you here spiderwoman.

Yep, Spiderwoman was blacklisted for the following reason:

    184........ # lfd: (CT) IP 184..... (US/United States/-) found to have 302 connections - Fri Jun 15 22:08:07 2012

I removed her IP address from the message above.

I've PMed her, but I wanted to post this here because either she has a major PC problem, or someone has taken over her PC to abuse/break into other sites on the Internet. Everyone kinda needs to make sure their Anti-Virus software is up to date. Not a problem on my side, cause my firewall recognized this and blocked her. But you can loose access to a lot of sites if your IP is detected doing something like this. Good luck Spiderwoman. I will remove your IP from being blacklisted, but it can happen again.

On another note, it might not be her PC. She could have picked up a new IP address from her provider which was previously being abused.

Sat, this is a different case. Her IP address was blocked from any access to crappie.com because it was found to be performing hacking activities. Her single IP address had over 300 simultaneous connections to the crappie.com server.

Thanks Slab!! It's working now, but have definately got to look into more virus protection. May need to buy a new program! I've updated this one, but it is over 6 yrs old.
