More than likely it' the seats, not the mount. I have those mounts and I'm fatter than you. Bought some cheap seats a while back, they leaned back too far. Took them back and got some Tempress seats and they are fine on the spring mount.

Like Feelay siad probably the seats. We had to buy one when we bought our boat and didn't spend that much and a year later are having to buy another one...basically the same problem you are having...plus ours leans to one side to...lol. Guess Shorty's a little heavier on one side than the other..Ha!!

Take the rear screws out. Loosen the front screws. Add a strip of plywood, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2" until they sit right. May have to get longer screws.

While I was looking for seats, the cheapest ones found locally were about $60. each.

Definitely, the problem. Those are the seats I bought and returned, metal hinges, thick comfy cushion, just no back support.

I didn't know they came with an arrow. I'm going to assume that's why my seat with the recently replaced spring base kills my back.

Most seat bases have a little lean back to keep you in the seat and the ones that do have an arrow pointing towards the front so you know how to mount the seat if you put it on wrong to seat will lean to the opposite side from where the arrow is pointing so if you have it facing the left the seat will lean right and so on.
If the fish aren't bitting just remember your not at work ! :D
