Default Truly Blessed and a Great stat to the weekend

Yesterday was a great start to Father’s Day Weekend. Started the day at 2:45 am get up, leave the house at 3:30 am, at the ramp at 5:00 am, in the water 5:30 am and started fishing at 6:00 am. To most people that does sound like much fun but to me it’s the best part of the day. Y’all know what I’m talking about, when you get to watch the sun come up and your on the water especially when you are with your family. I fish with a lot of different people but when I get to fish with my son it’s extra special, even though he’s 21 and not really a kid anymore he’s still my boy. Even though it was a tough day of fishing with all the short fish and working hard just to find some keepers I was proud to hear Philip making suggestions to me on what we ought to be doing and some of his ideas paying off. To some people fishing comes easy but to some like Philip with ADHD, sitting still for hours at a time staring at bunch of poles it’s tough, you have to really love it. For anybody who knows somebody with ADHD you understand what I’m talking about. I was lucky enough to have a dad who took me fishing and taught me a lot and now to get to fish with my son and pass on what I know (even though that’s not much, LOL) is priceless. I let him make a lot of the decisions yesterday on what we were doing and he done a pretty good job. VERY PROUD of him, he works, goes to college and finds time to go fishing with the old man. Today he’s taking me out for breakfast and then to visit my dad’s grave. The rest of the day just going to hang out and take it easy. I hope all the fathers out there have a great day along with everybody else. Enjoy your family.

Gil you must have raised him right if he still liked spending time with you at that age.
