No, but there's a few ways I've been successful at.. One is fence with hounds enclosed.. Another is a 10 ft fence.. And the strangest of all is,,,, I use white cotton string about 2 ft off the ground held up by stakes every 30 or so ft up and down every other row to keep the crows from pulling up the corn whil it's in it's first stage of comming up. After its 3-4 inches they can't pull it up, so I take the string up so I can plow it.. Well, one year a long time ago I planted some corn for a friend and told him he needed to string it within a week. At the same time, I planted some peas a couple hundred feet away. He got mixed up and put the string over my peas. The crows ate the corn but the deer would not cross the white string. After that crop was harvested I figured there may be something to this, so, for years after that I put the white string up and down my rows of peas and they never ate any more. it's some work because I had to take it up to plow and then put it back down and had to pick around the string but at least I got the peas. Strange, but true..

    Is that kite string?
I was told or read to use clear mono fishing line. They can't see it and back off from it. But my deer walk through it to get to the peas. I have white shopping bags and alum. pie pans tied to the post and line. I've heard of using a radio, they don't like the noise. But that would be about a 1,000 feet of extension cords.
I could sleep all day and sit close with a crossbow.

It's larger than just kite string.. Got it at WM. it's fairly large and came in a huge roll. I'm telling u they have never crossed the string. As a matter of fact I have put it in the woods and it will funnel the deer to the end of it where u have ur stand.

I tried that and they will get used to it just like hair, soap and other loud smelling stuff. I had a couple scare crows one time that I doctored every day with smelly stuff and by the time the peas were ready all I had was a few in a 5 ft circle around them. Gave that up for the string..

Jerry baker (public tv) used it in some of his recipes for getting rid of unwanted animals.
