You can only connect the 2 units together if the unit is an HD unit. You can get the 798 DI/SI which I have without the HD on it and save some money. Now, they sell a part that you can buy that I could hook my unit up to another unit with and it sells for around $100 I believe.
Ok, but I have a 597ci HD DI and it cannot be linked to another. Only 700 and up have this capability.
