    Yep, 6 is better than 12. I burn fuse housings at speed 4. I need to upgrade.

    #12 AWG is only rated for 20 amps. #6 AWG is good for 70 amps. Minn Kota 80 lbs thrust draws 60 amps @ 24 volts. That's what size breaker you need. It should be installed at the source. (battery).

    He used an oxygen free 6ga. copper. Multi stranded with much less resistance!!

    It's SJO fine strand. I striped it out of a 4 conductor SJ Cord. I have 2- 25' pieces left in green and white if anyone needs it.
