    Good luck on killing them with any of the aforementioned weapons, save Torch's .50 cal. I don' doubt that you have beavers, but some of that damage looks like the result of a lightning strike.

    You obviously have never tangled with a Dam beaver! That little air rifle won't even be enough to p--- em off. I have hit em with 12 ga. bird shot and that olly made em mad.

    I zapped one in the couple year back with the .17 from about 60 yards. Talk about a bloodbath. Never even flopped

    Here is what u need. I've caught many with these. Keep in mind, tho, they don't survive more n a half second. Or anything else that gets caught like a dog.

    Hate to say it--bet the tree is good as gone. Had one like that in my back yard and it took 5 or 6 years before it went down. Course a 22 to the bad of the head of the little bugger took care of the problem.
