I have been useing high vis yellow for about 8 years now........I really do not think it makes any difference. I could see where it might in really clear water but the waters that I fish are not what I would call clear.

My last two trips I have been out fished by ES and Kicker. They were using clear line and I'm using hi vis,do y'all think that made the difference?Because we all know I'm better fisherman than them gewber and a lot purdier.

Ohhhh boy...all kinds of opinions on that one. Ronny Capps swears the fish kin see it...on the other hand, hi vis is on all of our poles...then again, we don't catch many fish....6 of one half dozen of the other....
Yep....Ronnie Capps swears the fish can see it and Todd Huckabee says they can't. I have done some comparison fishing two poles at the same time rigged just alike.....same jigs and everything.... one with high vis yellow and one with clear and I was catching the same amount of fish on both of them. I prefer the high vis so I can see the line....I think that keeps me ffrom missing fish sometimes as I see the line move.

Personally We tried it side pulling in the same boat one day 4 rods with and 4 with clear line same lb test line and the clear caught 6 fish bfore the hi vis had 1 fish, we also tried it Bream fishing and in certain places the hi vis did not catch as many fish!

No way to compare. I have Hi-vis on all my poles, some days I can't get a bite on the right side of the boat. Other days can't get a bite on the left, with everything the same on both sides.

I'm not sure if they can see the hi vis or not but I like the hi vis so I can watch the line. Sometimes especially if the bite is light all you will see is the line move off to the side and if I had clear line on my poles I would have never the bite.
Not sure either but I run hiviz on the reels and Trilene floro below the sinker. That way I can see the line and maybe they won't see it. Keep a small 100 yard spool up front for re-riggn or use on my pre-rigs.
