    Not sure how far out you have to be at Orange Beach to catch those, think it depends on how far out the bklue water is. Sometimes it gets within 15-20 miles is all though. I hear ya on the drum you gewb. Redfish is some mighty fine eating IF you know how to clean it and cook it. Just like Striped bass are real good table fare. White bass ain't bad either

    I kept a couple of white bass from Sardis a couple years ago and kept them seperate from the crappie when I cleaned and cooked them.......they are surprisingly good.

    We tried some striped bass...not so good.

    just gotta cut out the red--I've found (if cleaned right) they really don't have much flavor on there own imo.

    Capt Jack Wilhite. Summer Hunter Charters. Fast boat and nice ride. Catches fish. It ain't cheap, but what is anymore.
