How do yall pull your cranks???
I have seen some differences in which pole has the longer line and which the shorter, some space by four feet and some two feet.
I pull off the sides long poles to the front and getting shorter as they go back. The longest pole, one furtherest forward, has out more line, sometimes as much as 15 foot ans others as little as 5 foot. The second pole less line and so on.
I dont have any probs with tangling up even with just 2 foot of spacing. When I get a fish on I take the pole to the back of the boat holding the rod high in order to get the fish to the top, once the fish is on top I just bring it in down the center of my lines.
Looks to me that if a heavy fish gets on the long pole and its line is shorter then it will be harder to get in with the longer lines being between the fish and the landing zone.
I may be totally off base here but it seems to be easier the way I have been doing it but if not I certainly aint above changing up ifn its easier.

TThats how most do it. John wait til you get on some fish in a crosswind n you turn to sharp. At only 2 feet difference youll tangle up easier. Bet ive cut a 1/2 mile of line off total in 3 years due to tangles
