Thread: Pop up camper

I used to have one.....tell ya the truth, I would rather just toss a tent and a good air mattress in the back of the boat.....it just seems a lot easier than pulling both. I did in fact sell the camper and bought a tent. I would like to have a truck camper like billbobs.

Maj, I use to camp in one every year during muzzleloading season. They are great for two people who do not need luxury in everything they do. We cooked with no problems on the small stove it had and never had any problems with cold or heat. But of course it was late fall when we were camping. I realy believe the air conditioners they have now would be no problem as long as you had a little shade. For hunting and fishing, they are really convenient.

I agree G. Bill bobs truck camper is the way to go.

Very few pop ups are going to have the frame to handle hooking a boat behind it.

They are cold in winter. With good shade, I think they be good in summer. I doubt you could pull much of a boat behind it. If I was pulling doubles, I'd setup like Torch, fifth wheel camper and boat. Much stronger frame and hitch. My Uncle uses his class a home pulls his truck with his boat and trailer in the bed. (he'd have to get cdl with doubles endorsement in Washington state.)

look at what they call a hi-low camper , their a step up from a pop up and a little larger!!!!!

They selling some nice ones in Memphis when set up looks like a A frame cabin cool looking with bigger tires. Davis Motorhome should have website or call and ask for Danny Davis he is owner and super nice guy.
