I do sometimes but read somewhere that can let in disease.

I never know what to do about suckers so I have just been leaving them. Any good info on them would be nice to know. A little info I found, still don't know what to do, maybe your way Don.

I leave the first sucker at the base, but remove all the others.

My daddy inlaw already has ripe mater's,not green house grown in the ground.
