Well Scott is always showing off his Pig dinner so I thought I would show you what I had to come home to, Carol's cooking. Home grown butterbeans, silver king corn from a farm in Foley Ala, put up last year, Vidalia onion and smashed chicken breast cooked in a cast iron Dutch oven, After that a bait of sweet potato casserole with brown sugar and walnuts and of course sweet tea.

Now to the fishing, was a great day to be on the water, overcast, cool and a good crappie chop to make boat handling easy, I'm assuming that as Scott does all the hard work all I have to do is give him a little advice now and then even if he lets it in one ear and out the other. But the fishing was slow. We caught more blacks this trip than the last 6-8 with only 1 keeper, in pix, most about 6" long. Some of the males still have courting color. Jig color, Scott had tied up some new red jigs and they were the hot color, we both had 2 poles with them pretty quick. Used up a lot of nibbles and caught a bunch of dinks. Caught most of the good fish in an area we always catch fish, I bet half the good fish we have caught this year come from that 100 yard area, it just keeps on replenishing itself. 2 hats for WB, full belly, nap time.
