    Default Destin, FL bound!!!!

headed out on vacation for the next week. I wanted to ask the board 2 questions
    1. What is your favorite places to eat in Destin?
    2. Do you have anybody you would recommend for a day of deep sea fishing?

I am going to hit up the usual places to eat like Lousiana Lagniappe, Crap Trap and A.J.'s......but I alway hunt a hole in the wall seafood joint that blows the usual's out of the water. I also love finding the cheap oyster bar's for lunch.

Definately eat at the Fisherman's Warf, it's on the main drag just east of the bridge. Great outside seating overlooking the marina and the Gulf. Makes me want to go back.

I like Capt Daves, Back Porch, Fishermans Wharf, and if you have kids you got to go to AJ's and Fudpuckers.

Torch it's Salty Jig charters and they SUCK. Can I say that on here? Oh well, back to my expertise. Ifn you gonna be down there fer two weeks and don't try Elmo's Grill, you are a superficial gewber and ya mus be kin to DD. it's your typical hole in the wall joint, with extremely cold beer and very good food. They got an all-you-can-eat crab leg deal that is outta this werld. I had the days record when we left the last time we were there. I at 18 sets of legs. Boy was I stuffed and my wife and kids were embarrassed. I told em to go to the car, I was gonna get my money's werth. The waitress said I had done that when I ate my 10th set. Here's the address:
    6931 W Hwy 30A
    Santa Rosa Beach, FL

They got live music and a very friendly atmosphere and very good service with very little wait ifn you'll get there around 5 or so.

I use the Shamrock II when I'm down there, the captain has 30 to 40 years of experience out of destin and his father fished it some 20 years as well. however the boat is a little older than most out there but still looks good and his prices are more than fair.

which dock is the Shamrock II located at?
Thanks for all the responses guys....I can't wait to head that way in the morning. We will probably leave at 5 am so that my wife can shop for 7 or 8 ours at the outlet mall. She just had me go and withdraw what seemed like our entire bank account so she could shop. Got to keep momma happy though.
